About KIA
Kent International Airport is equipped with a 2,752m paved runway. The airport handles aircraft types up to 747-400 series on a daily basis, and retains all of the associated handling equipment on site. Full service handling is provided by the airport operator for aircraft types above 4,500 KG with smaller aircraft serviced by TG Aviation. Rescue Fire services are provided up to category 9 on request.

- QC4 aircraft operating 2300 – 0600 must contribute to an environmental fund
- Lower airspace radar service provided by MSE Air Traffic Service
- 90 full time staff based at airport, offering complete operational and handling services
- Airport maintains compliance with DfT National Aviation Security Programme and is fully fenced
- Appropriately qualified aviation security officers onsite 24/7
- MSE handles 18,000 movements per annum with daily scheduled 747 freight movements, charter passenger services up to A340 size, ad-hoc cargo movements of types up to AN124 size and most general aviation variants
